H-alpha high-speed filters are used for deep-sky and planet primary focus astrophotography in environments with appreciable light pollution and astrophotographic telescope equipment with very short focal ratios of f / 1.8 to f / 3.5 and HyperStar system . They are preferably associated with Newtonian or retro-reflector telescopes greater than 6 " and with a very short focal ratio .
They block the infrared spectrum and allow a much sharper view of nebulae and galaxies . They offer the maximum transmission in each bandwidth, much more efficient than the classic Narrowband. They also generate a much more realistic color of the stars and reduce excessive glare, halos and reflections . With this type of filter we will obtain high contrast images in very short focal relationships.
