Brand: Barigo
Barigo Barographs are instruments of high precision and reliability, which record the evolution of atmospheric pressure in real time. Some models are 4 capsules and others are 8 capsules.
Barigo's mechanical barographs have a solid rotating bronze drum powered by a quartz drum movement to rotate the drum once a week.
A felt-tip pen at the end of the writing arm shows changes in air pressure on a paper diagram that wraps around the drum.
The mechanical barometric movement with eight capsules or round diaphragms (four in the case of the 2018 model) measures the variation in air pressure and transfers it very precisely through a system of mechanical levers to the writing arm.
2001, 2004 and 2006 models have additional oil dampening of the arm to prevent incorrect readings on boats and yachts. The high-quality mahogany case is polished several times and treated with a special high-gloss lacquer for the 2003 and 2004 models, thereby producing a particularly glossy surface.
The interior metal parts of these two models are solid brass, polished and gold plated. The 2018.2 case is glossy piano black finished, the base plate is brushed nickel plated brass, and the metal parts are chrome plated. All barographers come with a pack of millimeter registration sheets and markers for one year.
