Also known as "binoculars", binoculars are optical instruments that are used to see enlarged objects that are at a distance, thus being able to appreciate all their details and movements (in case they move).
As for their design, these devices are made up of two cylindrical tubes that contain prisms and lenses inside, which are what provide us with an enlarged image of the observations. The magnifications give the magnification power, and generally move at a scale of 7 to 12 magnifications.
The aperture of the lens regulates the entrance of light, the more aperture the more volume of light will enter and therefore we will have better vision, especially in special conditions. Low light conditions, and times of day with low light, sunrise and sunset. The range of openings ranges from 22 to 50mm.
Optical treatment makes the difference between binoculars, from a simple multi-coated binocular and with Bak-4 prisms, we go to binoculars with ED (low dispersion) and HD (high definition) treatment, these treatments aim to eliminate any aberration of color in the image and at the same time offer optimal brightness and contrast.
The binoculars are made waterproof, waterproff and injected with nitrogen or argon gas inside to prevent fogging of the lenses. Nautical binoculars can be submerged in water if dropped, and also incorporate a compass as an orientation system.
