Read science, outreach available to everyone

On the eve of book day, April 23, we want to dedicate a story to the exciting world of reading, in this case scientific and informative reading.

At Raig we have numerous titles dedicated to science, in the fields of astronomy, optics, meteorology, microscopy and orientation. These manuals help us to get started in these sectors and to better understand the material we have just acquired.

Scientific dissemination is an extremely important field, from early childhood education to adulthood. The human instinct of observation is intrinsic to our being, but many times we need something else to understand everything we observe, a supplementary help to finish squaring the learning circle.

The reading is transversal, for all ages. And since we were little we can promote disclosure through reading and there are many books for the smallest of the house. They are very visual books, little letter, a lot of drawing or photo and that above all must enter by sight. Books that encourage experimentation are also highly owed, playing is a great way to learn.

Also related to children or young people, all those books that answer questions about the universe or the atmosphere are also a key part of learning and, above all, help parents more than once not to be left blank by that unexpected question.

The manuals or guides that help us read the environment are very interesting and become a good tool for our excursions. In this field we find the popular field guides of flora and fauna, mushrooms, the books of interpretation of clouds, meteorology and prediction and the guides of use of GPS.

These books tend to be more utilitarian than popular and should be fairly schematic and easy to read. Many field guides are still key to species identification.

Yes, gentlemen, the instruction or use manuals are also reading and, obviously, a necessary and highly recommended reading. Most of the time we miss reading the instructions for the products, and we end up making errors of use, control or operation. We know that it is lazy, but the truth is that its reading serves to avoid many problems.

There are manuals that apart from being very technical also provide us with informative or even reference elements to analyze and interpret the measures that the instrument gives us.
