The Celostron
Astro Fi 102 Refractor Telescope is a
102mm aperture
Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with an
Altazimuth mount
. The Maksutov design allows to obtain
greater power in magnifications, this is
ideal for
planetary observation in detail. Up to here it could be a basic initiation telescope, but in it we found a
novelty that has not been developed until now, the possibility of controlling the telescope from your
mobile device through the
wi-fi connection.
The SkyPortal
application for
Android and IOS will allow you to configure the control of your telescope, which already has an
integrated Wi-Fi communication system. To start the observation you will only need
three celestial points , no matter what they are, and he will automatically calculate your position, from here the same function of
SkyAlign will take you on a tour of space. This telescope allows memorizing up to
120,000 celestial
objects .
The
multi-coated optics of this telescope follow the quality of Celestron, incorporating two
eyepieces ,
10 and 25mm (132 and 53X). The focal length is
1325mm and the focal ratio is
13 . Therefore, it is a suitable instrument for planetary observation in more detail than with the 90mm refractor version. The
search engine is of the StarPointer model.
The kit comes complete with an
Altazimuth fork
mount , similar to that of the Celestron LCM series, and a very stable
aluminum tripod .
