Celestron factor 0.7x focal reducer for Edge HD 800

Celestron's new EdgeHD focal reducer integrates a specific 4-element optical design developed to maintain the flat-field performance of the renowned EdgeHD optical system. Unlike classic optical reducers, this model offers a wide focal plane distance to accommodate various imaging accessories.

The EdgeHD focal reducers feature high index optical elements, including extra low dispersion, exotic Lanthanum elements, all to provide high contrast and chromatic aberration free images. All optical surfaces are coated with multilayers that increase light transmission and color correction, and their contours are darkened to avoid internal reflections and increase contrast. The wide diameter of these lenses, up to 60mm, guarantee a 42mm image circle, very useful for working with high-amplitude CCD sensors.
