Description

Constructed of plastic like its brothers Mark 3 and Mark 15, it has an 18 cm arc graduated from -5º to 120º and has 7 filters, 2 easily adjustable mirrors, coated glass lenses to prevent glare, additional glasses for anti-glare observations, drum high precision micrometer and vernier readable up to 2/10 of arc minute. What stands out about the Davis Mark 25 Sextant is the innovative "System Beam Converger". Unlike a traditional sextant, it uses a single mirror that allows you to see the real image instead of a broken image; This is achieved thanks to the semi-transparent mirror that superimposes the images obtaining the real image and the superimposed one obtaining a greater field of vision. In addition, the Mark 25 has an LED lighting system that illuminates the arc and the drum for observation in low light.
