Dino-Lite digital microscopes adapt to multiple functionalities, one of them is working at a
greater distance than usual. This can suppose distances of between
4 and 23cm between the sample and the microscope lenses. The range for long distance work allows this type of observation, always recommending that the microscope be attached to a
support . With it you can observe and inspect objects to repair, rebuild, authenticate, etc., both in
technology, mechanics, electronics, jewelry or art .
This first series offers an image quality of
5.0mpx (2592x1944) , with connection to a fixed or mobile
device using USB 2.0 and a Dino-
Capture program or application for the visualization, capture and processing of images already included. In 2018, 4 new models were added to the series, all of them equipped with
USB 3.0. The lighting is through a
circle of 8 interchangeable
LEDs and with multiple
accessories available . Depending on the model, it includes the polarization option or not, additional
polarization sources can also be added.
The main characteristic of this series of microscopes is the
long-distance working capacity
(EDS) , which allows work between 4 and 23cm, always bearing in mind that at higher magnification, shorter working distance. This feature allows
special parts work, for inspection, validation and restoration.
Depending on the model, they may or may not incorporate the following optical, visual and image post-processing characteristics:
EDOF or Extended Depth of Field: This image processing technique consists of stacking different focuses or image captures at different focus distances with the aim of increasing depth of field (3D sensation). This technique is incorporated into dino-capture software, and is currently only available for Windows operating systems.
EDR or Extended Dynamic Range: It is an optical image processing technique which aims to optimize its lighting. This technique makes sense in observations of parts, samples, or objects that have a lot of variation in brightness, and even shadows. As with the EDOF technique, it is only available for Windows operating systems.
AMR or automatic magnification detection: This software functionality directly displays the magnification on the screen while observing. When we save the image, the magnification is also saved.
FLC or flexible led light control: It allows to control and adjust the LEDs of the microscope. The 4 quadrants of led's can be adjusted separately and also choose 6 lighting levels.
POL or Integrated Polarizer: The integrated polarization system consists of a polarizing filter that polarizes light as it passes through it. It is used to reduce reflections and increase image contrast. This filter can be adjusted and turned on or off as desired.
