A filter is that accessory that is placed in front of the eyepiece and whose function is to obscure the image of the observed body in a way that improves observation. We have them in various colors to adapt to your needs as much as possible.
Some astronomical observations need to use filters in order to improve the vision of the celestial object that you want to see. For example, we find filters to improve the vision of the moon and certain planets, such as Jupiter, Mars and Saturn. There are also filters to counteract adverse environmental conditions, such as light pollution in cities.
Other filters face directly to protect our sight, normally by excess of light or radiation. In this case, sunscreens are the best example. With them we can observe the sun, which if they are very dangerous and harmful to our health.
