The most traditional of all of them, the hand or handle magnifier is the one we all know, the one that Sherlock Holmes showed us in his research.
The observer must hold the magnifying glass by the handle in order to see the magnified images through the lens. Ideal for specific observations, it is highly recommended to have some on hand at home or at your workplace.
They are circular and rectangular, with or without built-in light and with a wide variety of magnifications. The most standard ones move in a range between 2 and 5X although there are models that offer up to 10X magnification.
Reading is their most popular use, although they are actually used to get a much more detailed view of an object or some reading.
