Kowa presents us with a
66mm objective aperture ground telescope,
angled version and with a
20 to 60X wide focus zoom
eyepiece . The
663M ground-
based telescope incorporates the latest generation optics with extra-low dispersion
XD treatment . This treatment eliminates the
chromatic aberration present in lower quality lenses and gives it an improved
brightness and contrast optimized for complex viewing conditions. Besides, the 66mm lens opening gives it
120% more luminosity than 60mm models, so in low light conditions, the improvement is substantial.
The telescope is filled with
nitrogen gas to prevent fogging of the lenses and is also protected from
splashes according to the JIS7 protection, it is recalled that the telescope
is not submersible .
The equipment is completed with the
20-60x WF zoom eyepiece also under XD optical treatment and a waterproof
transport case for the Kowa 66mm models.
