The EOLOS-PREOS sensor is a Lambrecht static anemometer specially manufactured to withstand colder climates . It incorporates a powerful heating system that prevents ice from forming on its surface, being able to operate up to temperatures of -40ºC . This anemometer is especially indicated for scientific and meteorological stations with polar and high mountain control .
The anemometer, made of the best quality anodized aluminum , resists the weather and salinity . The wind sensor, with non-moving elements, measures gusts of wind that can exceed 230km / h , with an accuracy of +/- 0.5m / s. In the wind direction the precision is +/- 3º.
The heating system 70W, electronically controlled, is particularly efficient, for it is necessary a power source 19 to 32 VDC. It incorporates 4 to 20mA analog data output and an RS 422 port with ESD protection. Follow NMEA 0183 • WIMWV protocols .
There is the option (not included) of adding the MET [LOG] datalogger, the METEO-LCD display and the MeteoWare-CS3 software to the equipment. With these three optional elements, you would have a complete data recording and visualization equipment.
