More information
This Lambrecht weighing gauge is a precision instrument for official and technical observation . The weighing system provides a resolution in the precipitation measurement of 0.001mm .
The mouth of the rain gauge follows the official standards of 200cm2 , just like the totalizing Hellmann rain gauges. The advantage of a digital rain gauge of these characteristics is that it has no limit to the measurement of rain and can quantify rainfall from 0.005mm to infinity .
It is made of metal, completely weather resistant and stainless. There is the option of adding metal spikes to prevent the entry of birds. It is recommended to place on a solid support, well fixed and free of any obstacles.
It has two options, unheated and heated . The heated option is useful for cold or mountain areas, where much of the winter precipitation is from snow . In traditional rain gauges, solid precipitation presents many problems for measurement, the traditional heated rain gauge solves these drawbacks.
The Lambrecht [e] rain rain gauge incorporates an output for connection to Lambrecht dataloggers (not included) (digital output) and analog output for external supply 0/4 ... 20mA (0 ... 2.5 / 5V).
Characteristics:
  • Measuring principle: automatic self-emptying weighing
  • Operating temperature: 0 ... + 70 ° C (without heating)
  • Collection area: 200 cm²
  • Quantity measurement range: no limitation (0.005 ... ∞ mm)
  • Quantity resolution: 0.001mm (pulse output: 0.01mm)
  • Quantity accuracy: ± 0.1mm or ± 1% at <6mm / min and ± 2% at ≥ 6mm / min
  • Intensity range: 0 ... 20 mm / min resp. 0 ... 1200 mm / h
  • Intensity resolution: 0.001 mm / min resp. 0.001 mm / h
  • Intensity accuracy: ± 0.1 mm / min resp. ± 6 mm / h
  • Standards: WMO-No. 8 • VDI 3786 Bl. 7 • EN 61000-2, -4 • EN 61000-4-2, -3, -4, -5, -6, -11
  • NAMUR NE-21
  • Protection in load cell class: IP67
  • Current consumption on: max. 45 mA to a 24 V power supply and analog output •
  • typical 6.5 mA at 24 V power supply and pulse output · typ. 10.5 mA at 12V
  • Supply voltage: 9.8 ... 32 V DC
  • Signal outputs: · SDI-12 · RS-485 (SDI-12 protocol, ASCII protocol, TALKER protocol) · Modbus RTU
  • 2 pulse outputs for linearized and bounce-free output signal
  • Status-Exit (configurable, for example, rain yes / no or heating on / off)
  • Analog output 0/4 ... 20 mA (0 ... 2.5 / 5V)

[e] rain heated:
  • Target temperature (heating): funnel surface temperature of +2 ° C
  • Storage power: 80W (funnel) • 60W (output bucket / scissor)
  • Supply voltage: 24 V DC / 2 heating circuits 80 W and 60 W
  • Operating temperature: -40 ... +70 ° C (without ice, without accumulated snow)
