Meade Dobsonian LightBridge 16 "Telescope

Dobsonian design telescopes were created by John Dobson in the 1950s. They are telescopes with large openings , high- mount and ideal for deep sky observation, due to their great power of light gathering, with it you can observe galaxies , nebulae and other celestial bodies of a more tenuous nature.

Meade's LightBridge 16 " telescope has a 406mm aperture, 1829mm focal length, and a f / 4.5 focal ratio. One of the characteristics of these telescopes is that the light pickup power is much greater than the 75 "more than its 12" predecessor. The resolution of this telescope is adjusted to 0.28 arcseconds. Therefore it transforms it into a very powerful tool for deep sky observation.
It is a reflecting or Newtonian telescope, with high-quality mirror optics, with multiple aluminum coatings and treated with a last layer of magnesium fluoride. This gives it greater brightness and contrast . The 16 "primary mirror has limited diffraction . Fan integrated into this primary mirror to achieve good and rapid thermal stabilization . The optical system is completed with the 2" Crayford high precision focuser , with fine focus (micro focuser) of 10 : 1 and 1.25 "adapter that allows you to use 1.25" and 2 "eyepieces.
Altazimuth non-motorized mount , robust but with smooth movement thanks to its aluminum bearings and an efficient braking system. The evolved red pointer finder has four reticles with brightness controller that allow this finder to adjust to your needs.
