Meade LX 200 12 "Telescope

The Meade LX 200 12 " telescope is a powerful astronomical observation tool, which has characteristics and properties that are only available to astronomical telescopes used in official observatories. 12" (305mm) aperture, 3000mm focal length and focal ratio of f / 10.

Innovative optical treatment system that incorporates the highest quality in a Schmid-Cassegrain optical system on the market, advanced comma-free ACF optics on one side and ultra high transmission coatings on the other hand. The comma-free optics allows the entire field of vision to be expanded without having aberrations and not to lose detail of any celestial body, it also reduces astigmatism and eliminates diffraction peaks. Top quality coatings allow you to get the maximum brightness and contrast from the image. The resolution power reaches up to 0.38 seconds of arc.

As for the primary mirror , 314mm, it is oversized with respect to those listed as tube diameter (305mm). These 9mm allow to gain intensity of brightness and a little more light. The function of the primary mirror lock is essential in astrophotography, since it avoids unnecessary displacement during a long exposure. The Zero-Image micro focuser also helps to get very accurate images.

Sturdy aluminum double- wishbone fork mount with an adjustable quick turn speed of 1 to 8 degrees per second. The 8 x 50 search engine will make it easier for you to find objects in the deep sky. The mount also features mechanical locks and slow-moving manual controls on both axes.
