How are the courses?
  • 1. The student can take each course at his own pace; You have three months of time (with an option for an extension).
  • 2. The course can be started at any time.
  • 3. Each topic is subdivided so that it can be followed in a continuous or fragmented way.
  • 4. The student has various means to study each topic:
· Videos with the teacher's explanations.
· Notes with the content.
· Presentations with images.
· Annexes with complementary documents, links to websites and various animations.
· Self-rating questionnaires.
  • 5. At the end the student will receive a diploma at home.

Initiation course to astronomy:
Temary:
Topic 1. Characteristics and structure of the Solar System. Other planetary systems. Unit 2. The formation of the solar system. The Sun. Unit 3 The terrestrial planets. Unit 4. The giant planets. Unit 5. The dwarf planets. Minor bodies: asteroids, comets and meteorites. Unit 6. Nebulae and star formation regions. Unit 7 The stars: general characteristics and evolution. Unit 8 Star clusters. The galaxies. Unit 9 Origin and evolution of the Universe.

  • Material: Explanations recorded on video, presentations with images, notes for each topic and annexes. Forum between students. Self-assessment questionnaires. Final diploma.

Course of techniques of visual observation with telescope:
Temary:
Topic 1. Preliminaries. Topic 2. Information, methodology and requirements. Topic 3. Location of the stars. Topic 4. Observation of the Sun. Topic 5. Observation of the Moon. Topic 6. Observation of the planets. Topic 7. Observation of double and variable stars. Unit 8. Observation of smaller bodies and deep sky. Unit 9. Movements of the stars and transitory phenomena (eclipses, occultations, etc.). Measurement techniques.
  • Material: Recorded explanations on video, presentations with images, notes for each topic and annexes. Forum between students. Self-assessment questionnaires. Final diploma.
