The B-383 series of optics offers trinocular microscopes for routine use in science laboratories in the high school and university settings . They allow you to adapt a photographic and / or video camera to capture your images from the samples you are observing.

The phase contrast microscope allows uncolored cells to be observed and is especially useful for living cells . (PH and PHi models).

Polarization or polarized light allows a more special analysis of certain biological and mineral materials, for example fine sections in gemology . Polarization filters are also used for industrial microscopes and materials science .
The fluorescence microscope is used to determine substances with autofluorescence, by influencing light of a certain wavelength. Fluorochromes that are used to stain the nucleus of cells are sensitive.
The dark field model is used for the observation of living matter and often not pigmented .
Depending on the model, the optics can be E-PLAN or infinitely corrected IOS E-PLAN . The eyepieces are on all WF 10X / 20mm wide field models.
Double clamp mechanical stage with X / Y movement. In the PLi and PHi models it incorporates the X translation tape system.
The innovative X-LED3 lighting system combines a highly efficient LED system together with a special optical system, this allows doubling the light intensity of a traditional LED. The resulting light is comparable to a 50W halogen but with a color of 6300K.
