More information

The OPTIGEM series of binocular loupes is specially indicated for gemstone inspection in gemology and jewelry . Thanks to their versatile optical and lighting characteristics, they allow a detailed evaluation, a work of vital importance in the quality assessment of precious stones at a commercial level.
Its design allows them to be used vertically or horizontally , simply by rotating the stand, in this way you can adapt 100% to the product you want to observe and evaluate. All models have a tilting base , especially for gemological use.
The optical system is made up of a bi or trinocular head depending on the model, which incorporates a pair of WF 10X / 22mm eyepieces . The objective is zoom with a range of 0.7 ... 4.5X in models 1 and 2; range 0.67 ... 4.5X on models 3 and 4 of the series.
The mechanical system consists of a vertical bar rack gantry type is height adjustable. This bar allows a 90º inclination and 360º rotation that allows vertical and horizontal observation . The focus system is through a pair of controls on both sides of the magnifying glass, mounted on a rack-and-pinion system. The kit includes a special clamp to hold the samples just above the LED diffuser disc or stage.
Lighting is the special and fundamental characteristic that allows the observation of precious stones in every detail. In OPTEGEM 1 and 2 models, incident lighting is generated by a LED light on the flexo arm, while in models 3 and 4 it is generated by a white fluorescent light mounted on a flexo arm. In the case of transmitted light of models 1 and 2, it is generated by an LED diffuser disc for bright field observation and an LED ring for dark field observation. In models 3 and 4 the transmitted lighting is generated by a 30W halogen light and a specific system of reflected light for observation in bright and dark fields. The intensity of the incident light is adjustable.
