The Vortex Viper HD 12x50 binocular offers 12x magnification , a good magnitude for nature observation, and an aperture of 50mm . It is the standard prototype of binoculars for bird and fauna observation, the 42mm opening gives it much more light and better performance, especially in closed spaces such as a forest.
