Rain gauges

A rain gauge is a meteorological instrument that is used to measure the amount of rain that has fallen in a certain area and in a certain time. In effect, this apparatus was designed to measure the amount of millimeters that the water would reach if the soil were perfectly horizontal and thus be able to accurately collect and determine the precipitation that falls. Here we offer you a selection of rain gauges of different kinds: conventional rain gauges, Hellmann rain gauges, digital rain gauges, and even accessories for them. Do not miss it!

Rain or precipitation is measured in l / m2 or mm. Precipitation is one of the variables that has the oldest climatic series and constitutes a key factor for vegetation and agriculture.
The totalizing rain gauges allow to determine the total amount of precipitation or fallen rain in a determined period of time, for example 24h. At Raig we have the most internationally recognized totalizing rain gauges, the Hellmans.
