The SkyWatcher 200 WidePhoto together with the NEQ6 mount is a set specially designed for advanced astronomical observers, who want to use their telescope for astrophotography . One of the great advances of this series of reflector tubes, compared to the DiamondBlack series of SkyWatcher, is the reduction of the focal ratio to F / 4 and the increase in speed , a property that allows shorter exposures , obtaining more luminous photographs , with less noise and more quality.
The optical tube is 200mm in diameter , with a focal length of 800mm and a focal ratio of f / 4 . It incorporates a 2 " dual speed focuser as standard. This focuser is capable of carrying heavy weights without changing its position, thus achieving a smooth and precise focusing process. It incorporates the PL25 and LET35T eyepieces and a 9x50mm finder .
The NEQ6 mount further refines all the features of the GOTO EQ5 or HEQ5 mount, present in BlackDiamond series combinations. Above all, its robustness and stability are basic for working in astrophotography.
The NEQ6 mount is a GOTO or computerized mount, which incorporates a more precise gear and movement system than its predecessor EQ5. The crown and bisenphin system guarantees maximum precision in the movement of the frame, the SynScan program corrects the periodic error caused by the gear system. Dual axis motor, with various speeds (0.25x to 800x) of search and guidance (Lunar, Solar and Sidereal), both in the northern and southern hemispheres.
The SynScan system allows the storage of up to 42,000 celestial reference points . And its library also includes information on more prominent celestial objects, such as asteroids and comets.
The mount includes the SynScan Computer controller , which will allow easy control of your telescope through your PC via RS-232 connection to the remote control. This same guide port (AUTO-GUIDER) will be useful if you want to use this telescope for astrophotography . The command responds immediately to the contact of any key. There is also the possibility of incorporating a GPS into the equipment to facilitate data entry into the system. The software will always be upgradeable via the web.
