The sundial is an instrument that our ancestors used to measure the passage of time through the shadow cast by the sun.
Technically, this device reads the time using the shadow cast by a gnomon or style on a surface (which can be flat, concave, or convex) with a scale to indicate the position of the sun in daytime motion.
Remember that a sundial must always be oriented between east and south, to receive the longest period of sun per day possible.
There are different types of sundials, among others: the equatorial, the annular, the quadrant, the shepherd's, pocket ... Do not wait for us to tell you and take a look!
