ZWO ASI071 Pro Color CCD Camera has some of the most advanced features for astronomical photography, especially
deep sky and long exposure . The results for photographing galaxies, nebulae and constellations are more than surprising.
It is equipped with a
16 mpx Sony
IMX071 CMOS sensor (4944 x 3284 pixels) capable of photographing at a rate of
10 frames / second at a depth of 14 bits. The pixel measurement is
4.78 micrometers and the noise level is -2.3e.
The
cooling , capable of subtracting an AT of up to
-40ºC is a guarantee for taking deep sky images at
long exposures , avoiding overheating of the system, greater suffering on the internal mechanism, and thus obtaining greater performance and image quality .
The most innovative feature of this camera is the
internal 256MB DDR3 memory system , which helps improve
data transfer . Also, the use of this memory buffer minimizes amplifier glare, which is caused by slow transfer speeds when the camera is used with a USB 2.0 port.
It incorporates a
standard ST4 port and
USB 3.0 with 2m cable. It also incorporates a
T2 M42 inlet thread, then a converter goes from this thread to 31.7mm for the filter cap.
The
CD with the corresponding software and drives for the use of the Camera are also provided. The ASCOM driver for this camera is available. However, it requires the prior installation of the ZWO SDK (Software Development Kit), downloadable free of charge on its website.
