The
ZWO ASI174MM
CCD Camera is a
compact and accurate solution for planetary, solar and even deep sky self-guidance and imaging with not very long exposures. It incorporates an
IMX 174LQJ CMOS sensor which detects
more bright spots and stars in the sky, an
essential characteristic for
good guidance , even in short exposures.
The camera resolution is
1936x12160 or 2.3mpx at the rate of
164 frames / second with
10-bit depth and the pixel size is 5.86 micrometers. At
320x 240 pixels it reaches a speed of 740 frames / second. Available only in
monochrome version
. The IMX 174 sensor allows the highest image quality, even on moving objects, avoiding any
focal aberration. This feature is essential for
lunar and solar photography. It incorporates a
standard ST4 port and
USB 3.0 with 2m cable. It also incorporates a
T2 M42 inlet thread, then a converter goes from this thread to 31.7mm for the filter cap.
The
CD with the corresponding software and drives for the use of the Camera are also provided. The
ASCOM driver for this camera is available. However, it requires the prior installation of the ZWO SDK (Software Development Kit), downloadable free of charge on its website.
For the acquisition of planetary videos, it includes free software
FireCapture , by Torsten Edelmann, which natively supports ZWO cameras.
